He was born in 1978 in Istanbul. He started Moda
Primary School in 1985; in the course of this
period, within the structure of Adile Naşit
experimental stage children’s theatre, he started to
receive drama and music education under direction of
Mete Akkaya. He was enrolled to Fenerbahçe High
School in the year 1990. In the course of high
school years, he took place in various theatrical
performances as a part of the young staff of Tevfik
Gelenbe Theatre. After finishing high school, he was
enrolled to Opera-Singing Department of Müjdat Gezen
Arts Center. He went on with his Opera-Singing
Education for a period of one year at this center
under direction of Ruhsar Öcal. In the year 1996, he
was enrolled to Opera Singing Department of State
Conservatory of Istanbul University. His studies in
this school commenced with
Çiçek Kurra Kanter, went
on with
Suat Arıkan
and
he graduated in the year 2002.
He was included in Istanbul Chamber
Chorus in the year 1996. He conducted studies on
Madrigals, and Pre-Renaissance music under direction
of conductor Yeşua Aroyo for a period of one year at
this school. In the same year, he was enrolled to
Cemal Reşit Rey Opera Chorus. He took place in the
opera, titled “L’eliser D’amore” of G.Donizetti, and
the one, titled “Özsoy”, of Ahmet Adnan Saygun. He
gave recitals in Atatürk Culture Center, and Austria
Culture Center.
In the year 1999, he gave concerts in
Atatürk Culture Center, Italian Culture Center,
Bostancı Exhibition Center, Youth Festival in the
course of Atatürk Week, held in the district of
Kadıköy and Abant İzzel Baysal University.
He participated in musical studies
of Conductor Faris Akarsu in the year 2000. He took
place within the scope of Bursa State Regional
Symphony Orchestra and Broadway musicals concert as
a soloist. In the same year, in accompaniment of
Istanbul University State Conservatory Symphony
Orchestra, he took place as a soloist in Istanbul
Culture University, Cemal Reşit Rey Concert Hall,
Işık University Science Faculty Concert Hall.
Furthermore he took place in many programmes,
established by
Renaissance Group, established by Onur Koğacıoğlu. In the same year, in Rectorship of
Istanbul University, he gave a concert in the
ceremony, held for Mr. Süleyman Demirel, the 9th
President of T.R. and Mr. Edward Schvardnadze,
President of Georgia.
In the year 2001, he took place as a
soloist in three concerts in accompaniment of
Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality City Orchestra.
In the same year, under direction of Professor Ramiz
Melik Aslanov, he took place in Istanbul University
State Conservatory Symphony Orchestra, he played the
part “Nuradin” in “Betrogene Kadı” Opera of Gluck;
besides he gave a concert in the opening of Istanbul
Stock Exchange.
In the
year 2002, he took place in two concerts of Maltepe
University as a soloist. Within the scope of “Cradle
of Civilizations Turkey 2002 Culture and Arts
Festival”, held by the Ministry of Culture of T.R.,
he took place as a soloist in İzmir State Symphony
Orchestra under direction of Conductor Rengim Gökmen,
in concerts, held in Samsun on the date of May 29,
2002, in Ordu Mesudiye Türk Village on the date of
May 31, 2002, in Erzincan on the date of June 1,
2002, and in Trabzon, held in Trabzon on the date of
June 3, 2002.
He ranked the first in
“Siemens Arts
Awards”, which was held for the 4th time
in April of the year 2002, and he was presented the
award of Education Scholarship for a period of one
year in Germany, Badisches Staatstheater Karlsruhe
Opera Studio. At the same time, he want on with his
education in Karlsruhe
Musichochschule(Opernschule). He conducted studies
on singing techniques and Style with
Prf.Elizabeth Werres.
As a consequence of his successful studies in
Karlsruhe State Opera, upon proposal of the General
Directorate of Opera, he executed a soloist
agreement with this opera.
Within the year 2003, he took place in Karlsruhe
State Opera, “İl Tabarro” Opera of Gıacomo Puccını,
“Dalibor” Opera of Bedrich Smetana as “Vitec”, and
in “Lucia Opera” of G.Donizetti as
“Arturo”.
Furthermore he gave many concerts in official and
special occasions in other cities of Germany and
Europe under sponsorship of Emirates Airlines, and
Karlsruhe Wolkswagen company with pianist Conductor
Carl Robert Helg and Soprano Chiristine Zoller.
Under sponsorship of Karlsruhe Wolkswagen company,
he took place in production of a CD, issued for the
benefit of children, (Hensel Greetel) with Tenor
Eduardo Villa, one of the soloists of Newyork
Metropolitan Opera, Carl Robert Helg, pianist
conductor, and Soprano Chiristine Zoller.

In various cities of
Germany and other European countries, he gave
concerts and recitals. On this account, with regard
to Arts in Europe, he was awarded “European Culture
Award” in the year 2004, presenting Turkey to
European Countries, supporting efforts of Turkey in
terms of accession to European Union, submitted to
successful young artists. And he obtained his award
on the date of October 30 in the awards ceremony,
held on the date of October 30, 2004 in Istanbul Dolmabahçe Palace from Mr. Dr. Ernest Seidel,
Chairman of European Culture Foundation.
As of the month of January of the year
2005, he played the part ”Nemorino” in ”Aşk İksiri”
of G.Donizetti in Germany Karlsruhe State Opera; in
the month of May, he played the part ”Rinnucco” in
“Gianni Schicchi” Opera of G.Puccini; whereas the
part
“Lenski”
in “Yevgene Onegin” Opera of P.İ. Tschaikovski in
the month of June. Within the same year, he played
the part Pedrillo as a guest artist in the play,
titled Die Entführung aus dem Serail (Saraydan Kız
kaçırma), in Germany Halla State opera.
In Bayern Münıh-Schalke 04 Germany Cup
Final Game, played in Berlin Olympic Stadium in the
year in the year 2005, he sang the National Anthem
of Germany in accompaniment of Berlin Philharmonic
Orchestra.
As of the month of December and the month
of January of the year 2005, in “Die Entfuhrung
Ausdem Serail”( Saraydan Kız Kaçırma) Opera of W.
Mozart, he played the part
“Pedrillo” as well as the
part “Arbaces “ in “Idomeneo” Opera of W. Mozart.
In the month of May of the year 2006, in
Italy Udine Teatro Nuovo Giovanni and
Trieste Teatro Verdi Die Entführung aus dem Serail(Saraydan
Kız Kaçırma)

In the month of June of the year 2006,
within the scope of the 34th Istanbul
Music Festival, he played the part

he gave a
concert in Dusseldorf at an UEFA night.
In the months of June and July of the year
2007, the played the part
“Cassio” in Otello of G.
Verdi in Badısches Staatstheater Karlsruhe.
At the opening of
International Artistic Gymnastics Championship, held
in Stuttgart on the date of September 1, 2007, he
presented a
live performance in representation of
International Classical Music within the scope of
the Exhibition Programme, prepared by Enno İlka Uhde,
the German Exhibition Designer, Director.
Bıyık gave
concerts in various
cities of Switzerland, Austria , Italy, France, and
Germany.
On the date of September
7, 2007, at the opening of Austria Klagenfurt
Stadium he gave a concert.
On the date of September
30, 2007, at the opening of Porsche Tenis Grand Prix
in Stuttgart, he gave a concert.
On the date of October 7,
2007, at the opening of Porsche Tenis Grand Prix in
Stuttgart, he gave a concert.
On the date of October
13, 2007, he gave a concert in Ball der Sterne in
Mannheim Rosengarten.
In November 2007, within the
scope of Sport Presball, held in Alteroper, he gave
a concert.
On the date of December 27, 2007, within the scope
of the 10th Soprano Zehra Yıldız Memorial, held by
Zehra Yıldız Culture and Arts Foundation
traditionally, he presented a live performance as a
guest in Istanbul Atatürk Culture Center.
Within
the scope of
GALA CONCERT programme, held on the
date of June 7, 2008, of the 15th
ASPENDOS INTERNATIONAL OPERA AND BALLET FESTIVAL,
organized by the General Directorate of State Opera
and Ballet of the Ministry of Culture of Turkish
Republic, he presented a live performance in
accompaniment of Ankara State Opera and Ballet
Orchestra and Chorus.
On the dates of
July 5, 6, 2008, as a guest artist, he played the
part
Don Jose
within the scope of Carmen opera of
Georges
Bizet, which was directed by Peter Pacher in Stadt
Gerlingen (Stuttgart).
On the date of September
10, 2008, he gave a concert
at the opening of
O2
World Arena sports hall in Berlin.
Bıyık
played the part Cassio
in Otello Opera of G. Verdi
in
Badisches Staatstheater Karlsruhe as a Guest Artist
on the dates of March 5, April 3, and May 15, 27,
and 31 of the year 2009.
In 2009-2010 Academic Year, he was entitled to study
for Master Degree within the scope of Performing
Arts, Opera Art Department of the Social Sciences
Institute State Conservatory of Istanbul University.
He conducts his singing studies here under
instructions of Prof. Güzin Gürel.
He played the part
“Pedrillo” in Saraydan Kız Kaçırma of W. A. Mozart, presented by
Istanbul State Opera and Ballet on the dates of

Kadıköy Süreyya opera in 2010
Bıyık
currently gives concerts in prominent arts centers
of Europe and takes place in Turkey and
Europe

guest artist.
